Friendly triangular tournament of VCF Inclusivo with Special Olympics Kyoto and Levante UD EDI
This Friday at the VCF training ground, following the friendly match played this Tuesday with members of VCF Femenino C.
On June 28, the VCF Foundation and the provincial council, through Turisme València, announced the 1st Valencia CF Urban Art Route Contest.
The purpose of it is the creation of several outdoor artistic murals to publicise the history, legends and values of Valencia CF, as well as the different municipalities of the province of Valencia, promoting tourism in the area and with it its cultural and commercial activity.
Thus, the I Contest began with the call for municipalities that wanted to host the three winning works; and, after the presentation of candidatures by the town councils, the chosen municipalities have been Riba-roja del Túria, Sueca and Cullera.
Riba-roja del Túria (Camp de Túria), a municipality where Roberto Gil lived from an early age. Swedish (Ribera Baixa), birthplace of Puchades, Sendra, Mañó, the Ibáñez and Estruch brothers. Cullera (Ribera Baixa), a town with numerous black and white fans.
The next step, which starts this Friday, July 15, is the presentation of the rules for artists who wish to participate in the 1st Valencia CF Urban Art Route Contest: Terms.
The admission period, which begins on the 15th, will close at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, August 21. Next, a period of three days will be opened for correcting the documentation required by the VCF Foundation, with all deadlines definitively closed on Thursday, August 25 at 11:59 p.m. Contact email: ruta-art-urba@valenciacf.es
The purpose of these terms is to regulate the organisation, presentation and designation of participating artists in the 1st edition of the Valencia CF Urban Art Route. The selected artists will be responsible for the creation of the three murals that will be made in this first edition.
In this first edition, the theme of the artistic works has to be related to the centenary of Mestalla, Valencia CF’s stadium since May 20th, 1923.
Thus, this theme will be adapted to the spaces/locations designated by the selected municipalities, assessing the adaptation of said theme to the peculiarities of each of the populations presented and their relationship with Valencia CF.
On July 26, a meeting will be held with the interested artists, to delve into the bases and resolve doubts.
It will be on July 26 at 11 am, in person at the headquarters of the VCF Foundation or online, for those who cannot travel to the meeting place. All artists interested in this meeting are requested to submit their application before July 24, following the model attached to the rules, indicating whether they want to attend it in person or virtually.
The economic contribution to the three winning projects will be €4,000 gross per mural, with withholdings in accordance with current legislation, which will be given to the artists once the work is finished.
The three projects selected in second place will receive, from the Foundation, a financial contribution of €500 gross, and the three in third position, €300 gross.
This action will contribute to promoting and disseminating the work of the urban artists who participate in the project, offering an experience that can be enjoyed throughout the year.
The winners of the three murals selected with the first prize commit to carrying them out within the period of time established in their performance report, being completed before October 16, 2022.
In short, Valencia CF will be the backbone of this route, both of the black and white sentiment and the roots of belonging to our Valencian land, reinforcing the appeal as a tourist powerhouse.
Valencia CF have been a tourist benchmark both locally and internationally, with the essential role of both Valencian footballers by birth and Valencian players by adoption.
